Salary Range: $94,500 - $102,400

This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Key responsibilities will be the architecture and design of applications used in safety critical environment.
  • Design, develop, implement, support, and document various internally developed applications supporting multiple train control systems
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate design alternatives, and develop software solutions that meet business objectives
  • Work with business customers for requirements gathering, design reviews, and system analysis
  • Responsible for application implementation and all phases of testing
  • Responsible accurate timeline estimates, open communication regarding development status, designs, issues, following SDLC processes and best practices
  • The applications developed will primarily use the .Net framework, the C# language, ASP.NET, and SQL Server databases in implementing Microsoft based software systems for an intranet web environment


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Framework based desktop client applications and highly available Windows Services.
  • Experience with Web Forms ASP.NET, Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, C#
  • Proficient in all aspects of SQL Server
  • Experience in data transformation
  • Experienced at unit, integration, system level testing and troubleshooting issues across platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in high performing teams and deliver under pressure situations. 
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and after regular daily business hours to support assigned projects and emergencies


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in safety critical product development
  • Experience with railroad operations
  • SQL DB administration experience
