Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and lead the BI & Analytics team to successfully meet the goals of our multi-year analytics cloud initiative
  • Champion the migration of our BI & Analytics portfolio to the Modern BI stack
  • Champion the progress towards becoming a data-driven organization.
  • Enable Citizen Developers, Analysts and the business community to derive insights from data easily and aid in business decision making
  • Plan and execute multiple BI & Analytics projects including scoping, scheduling, and managing progress, resources, and issues.
  • Synchronize work effort and deliverables across project teams.
  • Set aggressive plans, monitor progress and report appropriately. 
  • Lead the project teams in aligning the resources necessary to analyze, design, and develop solutions for moderate to complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with cross functional project teams to identify, remediate, and escalate project delivery challenges and meet their modernization goals.
  • Leverage external resources to solve problems and recommend solutions, develop business cases and implement plans
  • Provide business stakeholder and executive communications.
  • Deliver verbal and written communications for a functional area including outages, new technologies and innovations, project status and issues.
  • Resolve escalated issues and communicate resolution in a timely manner with business and Director.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for business, TS teams, and leadership.
  • Review monthly budget reports, ensure that forecasts and accruals are accurate and partner with the finance team to proactively resolve budget discrepancies.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Generally, has greater than 7-9 years work experience in Business and/or Information Technology environment. 
  • At least 3 years of experience demonstrating leadership with people either directly or indirectly (For SB 32 – 1 to 3 years of managing 5 or more direct reports maybe required)
  • At least 2 years of experience leading and executing analytic projects
  • A thorough knowledge of software development, practice, concepts, technology and methodology obtained through formal training, education, and/or work experience.
  • Leads team to ensure that systems function appropriately and are technically sound leveraging continuous integration and delivery concepts.
  • Ability to evaluate employee performance and identify opportunities for improvement in practices for software development, technology and methodology.
  • Identifies new opportunities for solutions and introduces revised processes for continuous improvement.
  • Understands and identifies downstream impacts of complex changes/requirements.
