EFLS Program

One way to join our Field Operations Leadership team is through the Experienced First Line Supervisor (EFLS) Program, designed for candidates with at least three years of leadership experience or equivalent military service. EFLS hires begin with orientation and leadership training before attending our Supervisor Academy in Kansas, where they receive hands-on, scenario-based instruction that builds competent, confident leaders, and provides a consistent operational foundation across Engineering, Mechanical, and Transportation. After completing academy training, supervisors transition to technical and on-the-job training at their assigned location, preparing them to lead teams, support safe and efficient operations, and help drive success across our network.
