Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity & Inclusion

At BNSF, we're deeply committed to our core values of diversity and inclusion. As members of the BNSF team, our employees deserve:

  • To be treated with dignity and respect.
  • Equal access to tools, resources, training and development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our leadership sets the tone by fostering an inclusive culture through senior leaders, our employee-led business resource groups, diversity councils and Women EnRoute groups that are open to all employees. These groups foster collaboration, drive innovation, and help develop creative solutions to business challenges.

We also prioritize strong relationships with our customers and suppliers, and we actively engage with the communities where we live and work to promote learning, collaboration and support.

We are not content with the status quo. Continuous improvement drives us forward, and we encourage employees to ask questions, raise concerns, and engage in open dialogue - seeing every conversation as an opportunity to learn and grow.

By intentionally creating a culture of belonging, we not only advance our Vision but also unlock the full potential of our company and each individual within it.
