BNSF honors the commitment of the men and women of our armed forces, and we prioritize the hiring of military veterans. Military personnel bring leadership, teamwork, a strong safety focus, and the ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments. These qualities translate directly to success in railroading. Many veterans who join BNSF may have the opportunity to attend Supervisor Academy, where new leaders receive hands-on, scenario-based training that builds confidence and prepares them to lead in Engineering, Mechanical, or Transportation.
